Nansha Library recently became the only library in Guangzhou to make the county-level public reading service promotion project list. Nansha Library boasts 52 branches and service points, constantly updating its collection.
Currently, 52 branch libraries and service points and 18 micro-branch libraries have been established in Nansha district.
The district has also created branch libraries with trendy features, such as the IFC Sky Library and the Guangdong Medical Valley branch. In rural areas, Nansha has promoted the modernization of libraries and the construction of rural reading rooms, garnering various accolades. As of March 2024, Nansha has established 12 rural public library branches, offering over 45,000 volumes, and integrated them into the city-wide public library borrow and return service system.
All Nansha libraries now have access to smart equipment, and its borrowing volume ranks first among all district-level public libraries in the city. To make it easier for citizens to access available resources, Nansha libraries have introduced a window ordering service and extended the micro-branch model to government offices, communities, villages, schools, and rural reading rooms, gradually establishing the "Micro-Branch" brand of Nansha Libraries.
Leveraging seven innovative technological applications, each branch and service point has achieved full coverage of smart services, providing citizens with a more convenient reading experience.
