On May 10, Lancang-Mekong Fruit Industry Development Workshop was held in Nansha district, Guangzhou, aiming to promote agricultural exchange and cooperation among countries along the Lancang-Mekong River.

The event showcased and allowed people to sample fruits from countries such as Cambodia, Thailand, and Vietnam, along with local blueberries, pomegranates, pineapples, and other fruits from Nansha and beyond.
Guo Libin, Party chief of the Foreign Economic Cooperation Center under the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, stated that the conference aims to promote the development of the sub-regional fruit industry, increase farmers' incomes, support the development of fruit enterprises, advance agricultural economic and trade cooperation, and boost the development of the Lancang-Mekong fruit industry.
Luo Yixin, deputy inspector of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of Guangdong Province, mentioned that Lancang-Mekong agricultural cooperation facilitates the easier entry of specialty agricultural products into Guangdong and allows Guangdong's fruits to more easily enter Myanmar, Laos, Thailand, Cambodia, and Vietnam, promoting economic cooperation between various countries and regions.
Nansha also held activities such as the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Cross-border E-commerce Matchmaking event and the Prefabricated Vegetable Products Import and Export Trade Promotion Conference, aiming to enhance dialogue in the fruit industry and facilitate cooperation between enterprises.
