On May 29, the Wanqingsha offshore interchange of the Nansha to Zhongshan Expressway was completely connected. The entire Nansha to Zhongshan Expressway is scheduled to be finished and open to traffic within the year.
As an integral component of the Pearl River Delta's "A" shaped transportation network framework, the opening of the Shenzhong Link is set to facilitate connectivity with cross-sea and cross-river passages such as the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge, Nansha Bridge, and Humen Bridge.

This is poised to establish a well-balanced, coordinated, and future-oriented high-speed transportation network, improving the accessibility of comprehensive transportation in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and the passage capacity of cross-river channels.
With the opening of the expressway, the travel time from Nansha to Zhongshan city is expected to be reduced to less than 15 minutes, and the travel time to Shenzhen is anticipated to be less than 20 minutes. This further strengthens the connection between Guangzhou, Shenzhen, and Zhongshan, supporting efficient interconnection within the Greater Bay Area.
The construction of the Wanqingsha offshore interchange of the Nansha to Zhongshan Expressway is intensive, with densely distributed beam transport channels and complex conditions for offshore floating crane operations, presenting significant technical and management challenges.
During the construction phase, the investment construction unit has taken stringent measures to enhance on-site management. These measures are aimed at ensuring comprehensive control over construction progress, safety, and quality, ensuring safe production.
