From June 19 to 21, the third Academic Conference on Bridge Construction Technology and Artistic Innovation was held in Nansha district.
Attending experts engaged in in-depth discussions on hot topics such as the theory and practice of bridge technology and art, digital intelligence, green and low-carbon initiatives, new materials, and new processes.
The conference also included activities for participants to visit bridges built by the China Communications Construction Company (CCCC) Second Harbor Engineering Bureau, such as Juxing Bridge, Fenghuang No 1 Bridge, and Fenghuang No 2 Bridge.

In the exchange of innovative bridge art design proposals, a total of 45 units submitted 124 proposals for evaluation. Juxing Bridge was awarded the Best Recommended Design Award for its unique design concept and outstanding construction quality, becoming a major highlight of the conference.
Located at the confluence of Jiaomen River and Wuzhou Lake in Nansha, Juxing Bridge connects both banks of the Jiaomen River and Jiaomen Island. The bridge adopts a three-limb steel structure spatial beam arch combination system, spanning the confluence of the two rivers to conveniently connect the three shores in the shortest distance. The arches support each other on the three shores form the bridge, symbolizing the close connection between Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macao.

Nansha will continue to strengthen exchanges and cooperation in bridge construction, promote the deep integration of bridge technology and art, and contribute to the economic and social development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
