The Nansha Passenger Port Station has recently become a popular hub for cross-border travel.
From July 1 to Aug 8, the number of inbound and outbound passengers at the Nansha Passenger Port Station exceeded 20,000, marking a 60.6 percent increase compared to last year, showing a rapid upward trend.

Hong Kong residents account for 35 percent, Chinese mainland residents traveling to Hong Kong make up 30 percent, and Chinese mainland residents traveling through Hong Kong to third countries constitute 20 percent. Japan, Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, the United States, and other countries have become popular destinations for Chinese mainland residents traveling through Hong Kong.
With China's optimized visa-free policy for foreigners, an increasing influx of foreign nationals are conducting business and tourism in China through the Nansha Passenger Port Station. The data shows a 280 percent year-on-year increase in the number of foreigners entering China visa-free through the Nansha Passenger Port Station.
To cope with the peak summer passenger flow, the Nansha border checkpoint has implemented various measures, including deploying police forces to follow the passenger flow, maintaining 24-hour duty, strengthening customs clearance guidance, and balancing manual and expedited clearance channels to enhance efficiency.
The checkpoint cooperates with customs and passenger transport companies to optimize measures, ensuring smooth passage at the port, promptly addressing emergencies, and improving overall port service standards.
