On Sept 10, after the conclusion of the 2024 Beijing Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation, the Nansha Port welcomed consulates and business representatives from African countries such as Ghana, Senegal, Tanzania, Mali, Uganda, Sudan, Nigeria, Congo (Brazzaville), and Angola. Approximately 40 individuals participated in the event titled "Exploring New Opportunities at Nansha Port".

The purpose of this event was to promote the achievements of the Nansha International Shipping Logistics Hub construction and strengthen cooperation between Nansha and African countries in shipping logistics and international trade.
As a key port area of Guangzhou Port, Nansha Port has become an important hub for global trade, showcasing busy operational scenes and advanced facilities.
The foreign guests visited the Nansha International Logistics Center and the automated Phase Four terminal of Nansha Port, showing great interest in their scale and sophistication.
Peter Manu Owusu, the consul general of Ghana in Guangzhou, expressed that the just-concluded China-Africa cooperation forum has made African countries' partners increasingly aware of China's open attitude towards trade and development.
Various enterprise representatives also shared their cooperation plans and development trends with African countries, discussing future collaboration opportunities.
The hosting of this event not only bolstered the international visibility of Nansha Port but also created fresh prospects for China and Africa to collaboratively establish a high-level community with a shared future.
