Nansha district of Guangzhou – capital of South China's Guangdong province – recently began implementing a 144-hour visa-free transit policy for foreigners, welcoming its first tour group under the new system.
Prior to the recent Mid-Autumn Festival, Nansha collaborated with the Guangzhilyu International Travel Agency to launch the "Travel to the Greater Bay Area, Enjoy Nansha" tour group in a bid to expand international market channels.
International businessmen visited Nansha to explore its historical and cultural attractions – laying the groundwork for future commercial collaborations and expanding the district's connections with international markets.
During the visit, the tour group visited the Yunsha Xingyun Intangible Cultural Heritage Park in Nansha, delving into the intricate craftsmanship of producing Chinese traditional silk fabric known as Gambiered Guangdong Silk.
Gambiered Guangdong Silk is the only silk fabric in the world dyed with pure plant-based dyes, often referred to as "soft gold". The production process is complex, blending the natural surroundings with superb artisanal skills.

Members of the tour praised it for embodying a fusion of nature and craftsmanship by Chinese artisans, representing a cultural treasure and a valuable heritage in the textiles industry. They said that the experience had deepened their understanding of Chinese traditional culture, sparking commercial inspiration for future cultural product developments.
Nansha Passenger Port has become an entry port for the 144-hour visa-free transit policy – attracting international businesspeople to check it out. Leveraging its geographical advantages and policy-based industrial foundation, Nansha has become one of their preferred destinations.
