The Nansha Global Investment Promotion and Talent Attraction Conference was held on Oct 18 in Nansha district of Guangzhou – capital of South China's Guangdong province – attracting more than 1,400 academicians, industry experts, business elite and leaders from around the world.
During the event, many entrepreneurs and industry association representatives with deep ties to Nansha were invited to share their stories of mutual cooperation with the region.
Ian C.W. Fork, the CEO of Fork Ying Tung Group, said that Nansha – as a key strategic development district for the country – boasted unparalleled attractiveness.
Having personally witnessed Nansha's transformation from obscurity to prosperity, he is intimately familiar with the district's development.
Since initiating the Nansha project in 1987, the Fork Ying Tung Group has been dedicated to constructing a modern coastal city. He revealed that the group would now embark on a comprehensive revitalization project in the Nansha Bay area.
It plans to create diverse entertainment venues to enhance the cultural and tourism appeal of Nansha Bay, leveraging its geographical advantages.
Furthermore, the Fork Ying Tung Foundation plans to promote international sports exchange activities in Nansha. This will foster sports and cultural exchanges between the people of Hong Kong, Macao and the international community to support Nansha in becoming a comprehensive open platform.
Ian C.W. Fork emphasized that talent was the core driving force behind Nansha's high-quality development.
He expressed his willingness to collaborate with more outstanding individuals, businesses and organizations to jointly advance the deepening of cooperation between Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao.
