The 2025 Greater Bay Area Lantern Festival has garnered enthusiastic support and witnessed a surge in visitor numbers during the Spring Festival holiday. From Jan 29 to Feb 1, an average of nearly 30,000 people per day visited the park in Nansha to revel in the celebratory ambiance.

The lantern festival kicked off on Jan 22 and is set to continue until March 30, running for 68 days. Throughout the initial eight days of the Spring Festival holiday, the park held three significant Spring Festival-themed performances, spotlighting opulent, traditional Spring Festival customs and intangible heritage.

These performances comprise parades aimed at spreading joy and blessings among visitors, along with puppet shows that artfully portray tradition, catering to families seeking shared enjoyment. Apart from these programs, the park's diverse performance venues feature routine showcases encompassing vocal music, dance, traditional Chinese music, acrobatics, and martial arts, offering a wide array of entertainment choices for visitors.

Moreover, this year's Lantern Festival has introduced over 50 interactive lantern installations, activities like "Truth or Dare" and karaoke, and interactive play installations like lucky drumming, cool melodies, pianos and rhythmic activities. Some of these installations have been designed by internationally renowned installation artists, providing visitors with unique interactive experiences and a strong sense of participation.
