Nansha kicks off 2025 with massive wave of development projects

The groundbreaking ceremony for Guangzhou's major projects in the first quarter of 2025 was held in Nansha on Feb 7. During this quarter, Guangzhou saw a total of 341 projects commencing, with an aggregate investment exceeding 238.9 billion yuan ($32.78 billion).

Among these projects, 71 were in Nansha district, with a combined investment of around 37.4 billion yuan.

Nansha's projects span various sectors, including industry, infrastructure, social welfare, and urban renewal.

Notably, 25 of them focus on industry, encompassing fields such as technological innovation, advanced manufacturing, and biopharmaceuticals.

With a strong emphasis on novelty and intelligence, these projects are poised to propel Nansha into a hub for emerging and future industries.

To better cater to manufacturing projects and ensure high-quality services, Nansha plans to leverage its unique advantages in location, space, openness, and policies. The district will concentrate its efforts on advancing a strategy involving seaports, airports, data ports, financial ports, and talent ports, accelerating the establishment of a new incubation ground for productive forces. This initiative aims to provide entrepreneurs with opportunities to benefit from strategic national platforms.
