Major construction projects run in full swing in Nansha

Multiple major construction projects in Nansha district of Guangzhou in South China's Guangdong province have made significant strides in development since the beginning of this year, with a special task force in place to focus on key tasks and areas of the projects as well as a series of measures to boost market confidence and optimize the business environment.

The official statistics show that the fixed asset investment in January and February saw a 4.4 percent increase year-on-year, indicating a positive trend in various economic indicators. By the end of March, Nansha witnessed a wave of groundbreaking and completion ceremonies for major projects.

On March 31, the Nansha Hub Area project officially commenced with an investment of approximately 11.7 billion yuan ($1.6 billion). The project's initial phase involves the construction of five roads with an investment of around 660 million yuan.

The Nansha South Toll Station on the Nansha–Zhongshan expressway officially started operation on March 31, further optimizing the regional road network.

On March 31, a groundbreaking ceremony was conducted at the Humen Ferry Terminal to initiate the transformation of the terminal's west bank. This project is designed to establish the first comprehensive cultural tourism destination that integrates coastal defense culture, youth education, cultural innovation, and leisure activities.

The Shenzhen-Jiangmen High-Speed Railway has demonstrated significant advancement, with the successful completion of 14 municipal road projects and the official opening of 25 roads for traffic.
