The five-day competition features two unified classes, FE26 and J70. Teams will participate in over 10 intense racing rounds in open waters, testing their tactical judgment, starting rhythm, speed control, and tacking efficiency, all while emphasizing the importance of teamwork and nautical skills.
This year's regatta features teams from China's Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan regions. The Hong Kong team includes three sailors who are former members of the Nansha youth sailing team, making their return to these familiar waters particularly meaningful. Macao's Lorcha team, composed of amateur enthusiasts, seeks to promote local maritime culture and hopes to encourage more sailing fans to visit Nansha for future events. The Taiwan-based Gowind team, participating in Nansha for the first time, was highly impressed by the event's professional organization, excellent facilities, and attentive services.
An increasing number of young sailors are entering the sport, infusing new energy into sailing through competitions from school events to regional regattas.
