S China's largest acupuncture hospital opens in Guangzhou
The Guangzhou Acupuncture Hospital, the largest of its kind in South China, opened at the Affiliated TCM Hospital of Guangzhou Medical University on Jan 16.
The acupuncture hospital will carry out in-depth scientific research on acupuncture, enrich the ways of famous TCM doctors to pass on their academic experience, strengthen the training of TCM talents, and promote the application of acupuncture in particular therapies.

The Affiliated TCM Hospital of Guangzhou Medical University has a history of 90 years, and its Acupuncture Department was established in 1952 and is one of the four national key acupuncture specialties in Guangdong province.
A new branch of the Affiliated TCM Hospital will begin operation in Tianhe district in September 2022 housing more than 500 acupuncture beds. The branch will include a traditional therapy center, introducing more than 40 particular therapies such as bee venom therapy.
