Detailed planning for the refrigerating station in the eastern area of the Guangzhou International Financial City was recently approved at the 13th session of the Regional Planning Specialized Committee of the fourth Guangzhou Municipal Planning Commission.

A regional refrigerating station can make use of ice storage to provide centralized cooling and hence promote clean, low-carbon, and highly efficient energy use. The refrigerating station to be built in the financial city is a key part of Tianhe district's efforts to help with the national goals of achieving peak carbon emissions and carbon neutrality as well as boost the financial city's high-quality development.

The refrigerating station will be built by Guangzhou Integrated Energy Station Co and invested in by Guangzhou Development Group Incorporated. The company plans to build a total of eight refrigerating stations in the starting, eastern, western, and northern areas of the Guangzhou International Financial City, which will provide nearly 200,000 tons of refrigeration.
