Celebrations add to Qixi festive vibes in Tianhe
A series of cultural activities were carried out on Aug 10 in Zhucun village, Tianhe district of Guangzhou, to celebrate this year's Qixi Festival.
The Qixi Festival, also referred to as Qiqiao Festival, or Begging for Skills Festival, is China's equivalent of Valentine's Day. Its origins can be traced back to the Han Dynasty (202 BC-AD 220), and a comprehensive array of associated customs has gradually evolved since that time.
