Huaxi district in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, received 419,400 visits during the Spring Festival holiday from Jan 31 to Feb 6, generating 255 million yuan ($40.05 million) in tourism revenue.
To create a comfortable and safe travel environment for tourists, Huaxi strictly implemented the requirements for epidemic prevention and control, and did a thorough job in disinfection, cleaning and emergency response.

With the help of the digital cultural platform, the district carried out online cultural activities themed around traditional Chinese New Year celebrations such as intangible cultural heritage performances and calligraphy exhibitions.
Local tourist attractions such as Qingyan Ancient Town, Tianhetan scenic area and Gaopo Yunding ski resort offered visitors various holiday experiences ranging from cultural appreciation to winter sports.
