As of Nov 20, the Guiyang port in Southwest China's Guizhou province had handled over 263,000 inbound and outbound passenger trips this year, marking a significant year-on-year increase of 122.73 percent. The number of inbound and outbound flights exceeded 2,600 for a growth rate of 101.12 percent.

Since the beginning of the year, Guiyang port has launched 14 new international passenger and cargo routes, connecting Guiyang with South Korea, Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam, Indonesia, Singapore, and others. Additionally, two new regional routes to Hong Kong and Macao have been established.

The ongoing expansion of this international route network, coupled with significantly improved customs clearance procedures, has made travel to Guizhou province more convenient and efficient for international travelers.

The port had recorded over 63,000 inbound trips by international travelers, a surge of 211.4 percent compared to the same period last year.

Furthermore, over 24,000 international travelers entered the country by utilizing various visa facilitation policies, representing a growth of 215.9 percent. These policies include mutual visa exemptions, unilateral visa waivers, and 24-hour/240-hour visa-free transits. By nationality, Malaysia, Thailand, and Singapore ranked as the top three countries of origin for inbound international travelers.
