This year, Nanming district in Guiyang city has taken significant steps to expand tourism accommodations and improve service quality.
By implementing a brand-driven strategy, the district has attracted high-end hotel brands and elevated the management standards of the local hospitality industry.
Efforts include strengthening the monitoring of cultural and tourism enterprises, providing policy guidance, and establishing a directory of potential mid to high-end accommodation businesses.
Ten new accommodation enterprises above the designated size have been added to the district's records this year, contributing 1,631 rooms and 2,328 beds.
Nanming has also fostered collaboration between cultural institutions, tourism enterprises, and the hospitality sector, integrating resources to promote innovative services such as "accommodation + culture," "accommodation + creative industries," and "accommodation + wellness." These efforts aim to launch distinctive cultural-themed hotels and enhance the tourism experience.
Regular supervision of accommodation quality remains a priority. During peak travel seasons and holidays, inspections of facilities, food safety, fire safety, public security, and service standards are conducted to ensure high-quality services.
Nanming is also enriching its travel and living options. Plans for the Yongle Township Travel and Living Demonstration Zone include developing two key areas: Taohuawu Cultural Tourism Zone, focused on rural tourism and farm-culture integration, and Baiyanzhai Wellness Tourism Zone, showcasing ethnic cultural experiences and eco-tourism. These projects aim to create a 6-km rural living demonstration belt featuring 40 travel-friendly farmhouses.
