China's express logistics provider YTO Express is reshaping the logistics landscape in Southwest China's Guizhou province.

By May 2025, the company's inbound and outbound parcel volume in the province had reached 310 million, a 25 percent increase year-on-year.

Chen Xia, director of the YTO Guizhou Provincial Sorting Center, said that the second half of the year is expected to usher in peak operations.

The YTO Guizhou Smart Innovation Park, located in the Guizhou Shuanglong Airport Economic Zone, has become a vital logistics hub. Established in November 2022, it has become the most technologically advanced and intelligent logistics hub for YTO Express in Southwest China.

On average, nearly 1.8 million parcels from across China pass through daily, reaching 88 counties and districts across Guizhou, covering urban and rural areas alike. At the same time, around 600,000 local products – including mountain specialties and regional goods – are shipped nationwide every day, connecting Guizhou to the rest of China.

Its automated systems for unloading, sorting, packing, and loading ensure rapid parcel processing, allowing a package to move through the entire transfer workflow in under 10 minutes. Operating 24 hours per day, 365 days a year, the park processes up to 3.2 million deliveries per day during peak periods, demonstrating its high efficiency and operational scale.

The success of the park is attributed to a combination of rising consumer demand, the strategic transport location of the economic zone, and a favorable business environment. YTO has continuously enhanced infrastructure, upgraded equipment, and attracted e-commerce partners, ensuring steady business growth in Guizhou.

The park's second-phase construction is currently underway and is expected to be operational by June next year. Once outbound operations are separated, inbound parcel capacity is expected to reach 2.6 million parcels per day, further solidifying YTO Express' status as a logistics leader in the province.
