A conference designed to promote the launch and upgrading of the pharmaceutical industrial park in Guizhou Shuanglong Airport Economic Zone was held on Jan 20 at the Guiyang Airport Garden Hotel.
The event attracted more than 110 representatives from pharmaceutical enterprises, medical equipment companies, universities and research institutes, as well as financial institutions from inside and outside Guizhou province to discuss industrial development and explore cooperation opportunities.
Zhang Yuan, deputy secretary of Shuanglong's Party working committee, said the biopharmaceutical industry has become a core part of the province's strategic emerging industrial clusters.
As a national airport economic demonstration zone and a national airport logistics hub, Shuanglong has gathered nearly 600 enterprises in the pharmaceutical field, forming a preliminary ecosystem covering R&D and incubation, large-scale production, and circulation services.

Shuanglong's airport logistics park covers an area of over 6,000 mu (400 hectares). It has attracted more than 300 logistics enterprises, including SF Express, Cainiao, and Moutai Logistics, and can provide efficient and professional logistics support for pharmaceutical enterprises.
Relying on its seven international cargo routes, it can offer comprehensive support in cross-border trade and bonded warehousing, enabling products to go global upon completion.
Representatives from financial institutions and enterprises already based in the pharmaceutical industrial park said the transportation advantages, industrial ecology, and high-quality business environment of the economic zone demonstrate significant cooperation potential, while the efficient service and resource integration capacity can provide a solid guarantee for the development of enterprises that settle there.
Shuanglong will continue to optimize its business environment and advance the development of its industrial ecosystem.
By integrating key resources, smoothing the industry-university-research cooperation channels, and conducting in-depth cooperation with leading enterprises in the upstream and downstream industrial chains, it will strive to develop the pharmaceutical industrial park into an industrial landmark with national influence, and inject new impetus into the high-quality development of the pharmaceutical and health industry.
