The Guizhou Shuanglong Airport Economic Zone delivered an outstanding performance in environmental governance in 2025, with its rate of excellent air quality days hitting 99.4 percent, ranking first among Guiyang's economic development zones.

The zone's bureau of ecological and environmental protection built a pollution prevention and control system covering the whole region and the entire industrial chain, and implemented differentiated supervision over two major pollution sources: domestic and industrial pollution.
For the governance of domestic pollution sources, it strictly enforced policies on the restriction of fireworks, deepened the comprehensive management of cooking fumes and open-air barbecues, and conducted more than 30 on-site environmental protection guidance sessions for enterprises.
For industrial pollution sources, it focused on key pollutants such as volatile organic compounds and established a regular management mechanism. It implemented precise "one enterprise, one policy" supervision over air-related enterprises, carried out more than 120 enterprise inspections, and rectified 30 environment-related problems, driving the steady decline of enterprise pollutant emissions.

Due to intense construction activity in Shuanglong, the bureau cooperated with relevant departments and institutions to establish a 24-hour prevention and control mechanism for dust pollution covering all areas throughout the entire process. More than 300 personnel conducted over 60 on-site inspections, addressing 38 environment-related issues.
The zone has strengthened publicity and guidance, popularized the concept of ecological and environmental protection, and smoothed channels for public supervision and reporting, fostering a pattern of joint governance and shared benefits and building a solid ecological barrier for high-quality economic development.
