From January to May of this year, Haikou Customs supervised the export of 28 batches of fruits worth 746,700 yuan ($108,600) at the Sanya port, a whopping increase of 10.52 times year on year.

The goods include fresh lychees, pitayas, and mangoes. The export market includes Netherlands, Canada, Italy, Singapore, Spain, and other countries.

To ensure the freshness of exported fruits, Haikou Customs implemented a no-holiday reservation service, as well as a quick inspection and release work mode in the whole process to speed up customs clearance.

In addition, the customs continued to optimize its risk monitor and control system, working to reduce the burden on enterprises. It also worked to encourage qualified enterprises to submit relevant applications to the provincial agricultural and rural affairs office to identify their products as "Premium Agricultural Products". With this label, goods will be exempted from inspection and quarantine certificates, as well as registration procedures when being exported overseas.

Haikou Customs also engaged in promoting the policies pertaining to the "Certificate of Origin", strengthened pest and pesticide residue monitoring, guided enterprises to improve the monitoring systems of epidemic diseases, as well as helped enterprises improve fruit quality and enhance their international competitiveness.
