A total of 27 companies from South Korea have recently settled in Window to Global Trade in Haikou, Hainan province, Hainan Daily reported on Oct 9.
The businesses of the companies cover trade, services, medical cosmetology, healthcare, and other fields.
The South Korean companies are very optimistic about the development prospects of the Hainan Pilot Free Trade Zone and Free Trade Port, and will seize the opportunities brought by Hainan's development, said an official from the country's Association of SME Import and Export, which inked a contract with Hainan Cultural and Tourism to introduce these companies to Hainan.
During its construction of the Hainan Pilot Free Trade Zone (Port), the island province has been actively promoting foreign investment.
Window to Global Trade, which is situated in Haikou's CBD and became operational in June this year, mainly introduces foreign-invested enterprises and branches of foreign enterprises in China, as well as promotes the gathering and development of various types of trade-oriented enterprises through the provision of public services and business match-makings.
