Hainan accelerates investment promotion efforts

Hainan is speeding up its investment promotion efforts by launching a number of measures, including online investment promotions and optimizing investment services, attracting a number of enterprises from home and overseas to take part in the construction of the Hainan Pilot Free Trade Port.

The website of Contact Hainan, a government authority affiliated with the Hainan Provincial Department of Commerce and responsible for Hainan's domestic and foreign trade, as well as domestic and foreign economic and technological cooperation and investment promotion, has organized 22 online investment promotion conferences, involving multiple cities, counties, parks, and industries, attracting widespread attention from investors.

Since the operation of the global investment service hotline 4008-413-413 began on March 9, the Hainan International Business Council has received calls from the US, the Netherlands, Canada, Russia, New Zealand, Singapore, and Taiwan, Hong Kong, Beijing, and Shanghai.

The "Invest in Haikou" global investment service platform jointly created by the Haikou bureau of commerce and the Haikou international investment promotion bureau also went online for trial operation on March 20, opening a new model of overseas investment services.

The city of Danzhou recently launched a special policy to support investment promotion and industrial development, which has encouraged the introduction of internationally renowned tax-free enterprises with a maximum subsidy of up to 100 million yuan ($14.1 million).

The Sanya investment promotion bureau was established in February. It has implemented enterprise-oriented management and market-oriented operations, as well as has been making overall plans to promote investment promotion. The bureau has served China Datang Group and other corporations in setting up new branches in Sanya.
