More than 50 companies from Norway, Finland, and Denmark in North Europe took part in a special promotion conference to learn about business opportunities in the Hainan Free Trade Port (FTP) on Sept 14.
The event was hosted by the Hainan International Economic Development Bureau (IEDB), the Norwegian Chinese Chamber of Commerce, as well as chambers and associations in North Europe.
The companies participating in the conference cover the areas of education, technology, finance, shipping, aquatic products, and other fields.
During the conference, questions concerning tax policies, talent policies, medical and health industries, as well as the China International Consumer Products Expo were raised by company representatives, who also expressed their optimism about the development prospects of Hainan FTP, as well as hoped to strengthen cooperation in various fields and bring in more brands into Chinese markets.
Companies in North Europe have been paying close attention to the construction of the Hainan FTP and they are willing to develop together with Hainan, sharing the opportunities and achieving mutually beneficial results, said an official from the Norwegian Consulate General in Guangzhou.
