Hainan market entity numbers surge 70% in H1

As the opportunities brought by the Hainan Free Trade Port continue to increase, more and more businesses are settling down in Hainan, contributing to a 69.23% surge in total market entity numbers, which stand at 191,000 in the first half of this year.

Among all the new market entities, enterprises account for 77,700, up 60.33 percent year on year.

Since the release of the Master Plan for the Construction of the Hainan Free Trade Port in June this year, Hainan has seen 428,000 new market players, an increase of 52.31 percent month on month. Over 200,000 enterprises were registered in Hainan during this period.

As of the end of June this year, there were a total of 1.35 million market entities in the province, and new ones that were set up since June last year, accounted for nearly one-third.

From June last year to June this year, the number of new market players in Hainan mainly cover areas of wholesale and retail, leasing and business services, information transmission, and software and information technology services.
