A China Southern Airlines' plane with a China International Consumer Products Expo (CICPE) theme took off from Guangzhou and arrived in Haikou on March 13, completing its maiden flight. The 30-day countdown ceremony for the second CICPE was held at the airport on the same day.

As the world's first CICPE-themed plane, the plane's body uses more than 70 brilliant colors to show the open and hospitable attitude of the expo. While sprayed with the words "China International Consumer Products Expo," the aircraft also includes images of the expo's three "Industrial Gibbons" mascots, namely "Farmer Gibbons," "Diver Gibbons," and "Astronaut Gibbons," emblazoned on both sides of the fuselage.
Ruslan Tulenov, the global media officer of the Hainan International Economic Development Bureau, said that the unique patterns painted on the aircraft also contain profound meanings. For example, on the sides and tails of the airplane are two kaleidoscopes, representing the "domestic and international dual-circulation development pattern."
An officer of China Southern Airlines said that the interior of the cabin was also full of the CICPE elements, making passengers feel the strong atmosphere of the expo.
The plane will appear in many cities in China, conveying Hainan and CICPE's style to passengers across the country, helping to spread Hainan's international tourism brand image and China Southern Airline's international development image.
