Since the beginning of 2022, Haikou Jiangdong New Area has made great efforts acceleratin work on its key projects, making great achievements in their development and construction in the first half of the year.
In the first half of the year, Jiangdong New Area completed a fixed asset investment of 17.48 billion yuan ($2.53 billion), a year-on-year increase of 35 percent, accounting 51 percent of the annual plan.
In July, the area completed a fixed investment of 2.95 billion yuan. From January to July, its fixed asset investment totaled 20.43 billion yuan, of which government investment totaled 9.35 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 27 percent, and social investment totaled 11.08 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 32 percent. The investment structure was also further optimized.
The Haikou SDIC (State Development & Investment Corporation) Ecological Environment Building project has completed construction of its main steel structure, with the project's overall progress being over 80 percent. Its glass curtain wall is currently being installed.
The project of China Mobile's Hainan branch has accelerated its construction progress by implementing effective COVID-19 prevention and control measures, entering the final stage of pile foundation construction ahead of schedule.
Jiangdong New Area is creating a world-leading ecological CBD in the headquarters economic cluster area, building a pioneering zero-carbon new city where people and nature can coexist.
In the future, Jiangdong New Area will plan key projects in terms of land transfer, infrastructure construction, and industrial support, as well as spare no effort to promote project construction.
