Gu Gang, director of the Hainan Boao Lecheng International Medical Tourism Pilot Zone Administration, meets an expert delegation led by Chen Shiyi, head of the Sports Medicine Center of Huashan Hospital of Fudan University to discuss evolving the field of sports medicine on July 31.

Gu Gang, director of the Hainan Boao Lecheng International Medical Tourism Pilot Zone Administration, met with an expert delegation led by Chen Shiyi, head of the Sports Medicine Center of Huashan Hospital of Fudan University, to discuss attracting sports medicine experts and evolving the field of sports medicine on July 31.

They intend to gather sports medicine experts from all over the country and promote medical equipment operation training in Lecheng. 

Gu first expressed his gratitude for the dedication of professional clinical experts in sports medicine and rehabilitation all over the country.

He outlined the current status of Lecheng, particularly in areas such as the real-world data research, the simplified approval processes for innovative medicines and facilities as well as the prospect of the growth of sports medicine and rehabilitation in Lecheng.

"The long-term development can't be achieved without the recommendations and support from experts from all sectors," Gu said. 

Gu also mentioned that more patients will be attracted to Lecheng as long as Lecheng has professional expert teams and globally advanced medicines and facilities. Though the current scale of Lecheng is quite small, the innovative reforms made by Lecheng will be replicable countrywide. 

Experts at the meeting noted that they are looking forward to cooperate with Lecheng to provide better medical services to patients all over China.
