The Hainan Boao Lecheng International Medical Tourism Pilot Zone online policy promotion fair for Japanese companies was held on Sept 16.

The event was held by the Boao Lecheng International Medical Tourism Pilot Zone Administration and organized by Winhealth Pharma Group, Boao Winhealth Rare Diseases Medical Center and EPS International Holding.

More than 200 representatives from over 70 Japanese pharmaceutical companies such as Kyowa Kirin Pharmaceutical, Daiichi-Sankyo China, Takeda Pharmaceutical and Ono Pharmaceutical attended the fair.

Gu Gang, director of the Hainan Boao Lecheng International Medical Tourism Pilot Zone Administration, extended a warm welcome to all Japanese attendees and pointed out that the central government has given plenty of preferential policies for the Hainan Free Trade Port, which strives to be the world's most open economy. 

"We really hope that we can win support from Japanese pharmaceutical companies and introduce more advanced medicines and instruments to Lecheng for licensed application and Lecheng will provide the best services," Gu said. 

Hiroshi Hamaguchi, president of Astellas Pharma China, said that Lecheng is one of their company's important strategic fulcrums for offering innovative services and the company has achieved active business cooperation with Lecheng during the past year. 

The meeting is expected to establish a direct and effective communication platform for the Hainan Boao Lecheng International Medical Tourism Pilot Zone Administration and Japanese pharmaceutical companies, letting companies learn more about Lecheng and lay solid foundations for future cooperation.
