Hannan General Aviation Airport, the first airport of its kind in Wuhan, comprises of the flight zone, terminal area and the Wuhan International Aviation Engineering Center FBO project.
It is the first demonstration project of aviation flight camp in China, occupying a leading position in domestic general aviation airports. The airport completed construction within 8 months.

Zhou, accompanied by Peng Hao, director of the administrative committee of Wuhan Economic and Technological Development Zone (WHDZ), visited the terminal area, the comprehensive building for aviation, and the FBO of the airport.
The World Fly-in Expo (WFE) was held here from November 4 to 7. It attracted participants from more than 40 countries and regions, and showcased over 1,000 aircrafts.
The four-day event attracted an audience of 500,000 people, and created many records in the history of China's air shows.

Zhou spoke highly of the construction progress of the airport and the international influence of the WFE. He said that the WHDZ, as a traditional industrial zone, prioritizes the development of the general aviation industry in planning industrial transformation and upgrading, thus creating a good development environment both at home and abroad via the airport construction and the expo.
The next step, Zhou noted, is to seize the opportunity of the supporting policy on the development of the general aviation industry, speed up its development in the general aviation industry while promoting the aviation sports competitions, strengthening support for the district's economic and social transformation and upgrading.
