Three Xincheng district streets boost winter economy
Hohhot's three distinctive trendy streets – East City Moat North Street, Shui'anman Street, and Bisaita Commercial Street – are blending "scene innovation + business integration + event empowerment".
During the "Hohhot is so HOT" event from Dec 27 to Jan 3, these streets injected strong momentum into the regional economy's high-quality development.
East City Moat North Street, a 1.2-kilometer commercial street centered on "ancient city walls + trendy living", features over 20 specialty shops, forming a one-stop service system for dining, accommodation, travel, shopping, and entertainment. At the end of 2025, the street hosted a themed event and collaborated with merchants to extend business hours until 1 am.

Shui'anman Street is a comprehensive commercial district covering approximately 45,000 square meters. In December, it upgraded its landscape facilities and launched an event in which consumers who collect stamps from five cafes could exchange them for gifts. Due to the street's romantic atmosphere, its shops attract many couples and families.
Bisaita Commercial Street's wall murals and specialty food have been its breakthrough. The street has transformed its mottled walls into vibrant murals and now focuses on popular dining. Its bars have also hosted live music to boost sales, and barbecue restaurants have extended their hours, making them popular gathering spots.
