Yili recognized as Inner Mongolia Time-Honored Brand
Inner Mongolia Yili Industrial Group Co has been recognized among the eighth batch of Inner Mongolia Time-Honored Brands, as announced by the region's department of commerce, along with three other departments.
Yili's origins date back to 1956, when seven dairy farmers united to form a cattle-raising cooperative. Today, the company is one of the top five dairy companies globally and has been Asia's leading dairy company for 12 consecutive years.
A strict selection of milk sources and a commitment to excellence in craftsmanship are the quality tenets Yili has always adhered to, laying a solid foundation for the company's long-term development. It has upheld and promoted its innovation strategy, with more than 2,000 global partners across six continents and 39 countries, and has established 15 R&D centers and 81 production bases, with products sold in over 60 countries and regions.
As of the end of December 2025, Yili ranked second among the world's top 10 dairy companies in total global patent applications and invention applications, and first in China's dairy industry. The company also collaborates with top international institutions and has achieved a 100 percent pass rate in market sampling inspections for consecutive years.
Yili also stabilizes its milk supply and ensures raw material quality while promoting the upgrade of Inner Mongolia's entire dairy industry chain, helping farmers and herders increase their income and contributing to rural vitalization.
