Korean company CJ extends branches to Hongqiao

Shanghai Hongqiao Central Business District (CBD) officially reached cooperation with South Korea's biggest food and lifestyle company CJ on Sept 29 to receive several of CJ's subsidiaries.

South Korea's biggest food and lifestyle company, CJ, signs cooperation agreements with the management committee of Shanghai Hongqiao CBD on Sept 29 to settle ten of its subsidiary corporations' branches in the district’s Vanke Center. [Photo/Hongqiao WeChat]

A total of ten subsidiary corporations of CJ will settle their overseas branches in Vanke Center, a business office building located in the area. Covering nearly 10,000 square meters, the place will serve as headquarters for these firms in the southeast region of China.

Park Keun Tae, president of CJ China, appreciated the cooperation between the two sides, which he considered to be a milestone in the globalization progress of the firm.

The management committee of Hongqiao CBD also expressed high expectations to the cooperation at the signing ceremony, and demonstrated the convenient transportation and completed exhibition facilities in the area. The committee vowed to provide increasingly quality services for all enterprises within the district.

As the first comprehensive business complex of Vanke Group in Shanghai, Vanke Center in Hongqiao CBD integrates business offices, cultural recreation, entertainment and education. Its office area covers 100,000 sq m. According to the agreement, more cooperation projects in fields of global development strategy, resource complementation and brand promotion will be carried out in the future between Vanke and CJ.
