Christmas lovers will not be disappointment by the efforts exerted by those in charge at Hongqiao Tiandi shopping center this December. The experience is multidimensional and includes a lighting display by the French Lyon Light Festival, high-quality theatre performed by a Scottish production company, and budding local writers telling stories.

The month-long festival began on Dec 8 and is sure to draw shoppers and Christmas purists alike. One notable feature is the gleaming group of LED fish created by Christophe Martine. The French artist is a paragliding enthusiast and the hobby clearly inspired this creative and dynamic artwork.

Another quirky additional is the installation of an outdoor multicolored light show, a structure designers label an 'echo wall'. The display integrates light, shadow and music, and as night falls colors are projected onto the surface of the wall that shift and change according to the music.
