Commercial plaza opened in National Exhibition and Convention Center

Hongqiao Central Business District (CBD) saw the addition of a new commercial plaza on Dec 1, with the National Exhibition and Convention Center (NECC) offering visitors the integrated services of catering, shopping and entertainment.

Located at the center of the clover-shaped NECC, the commercial plaza covers an area of 150,000 square meters with nine grand buildings. The plaza adds plenty to NECC's exhibition halls providing comprehensive supporting services for visitors, as well as enhancing commercial values of the area.

Lying in the west of the core of Hongqiao CBD, the commercial plaza is only 1.5 kilometers away from the transportation hub offering convenient access to metro, railway and airport. The intensive highway network around the region enables visitors to reach major cities in the south Yangtze River Delta within two hours.

With the opening of the commercial plaza, more additions outside NECC will be opened. Visitors can either go to the plaza on foot via the two bridges of the Hongqiao Hub, or take Metro Line 2 and get off at Xujing Dong Station. What's more, a total of 6,000 parking spots have been added at NECC and are free for visitors shopping in the plaza before Feb 28, 2017.

The commercial plaza brings in an array of well-known brands of clothing, catering, cinema and supermarket to ensure a high quality consumption experience. In the future, flagship experiencing pavilions will take advantage of digital technology to display culture and customs of other cities and provinces in China.
