Hongqiao CBD has drawn its early blueprint for smart business based on innovations in information technology, and has completed several remarkable milestones so far.

All newly built office buildings in the district are covered with smart information technology, while an identically full-coverage low carbon energy efficiency management system has also been established. Rental services of new energy vehicles have been rolled out for trial operation.

Shanghai Hongqiao Airport is helping rid travellers of those preflight nerves with the introduction of state-of-the-art check-in machines. Since Oct 26, multi-purpose machines have been installed at airport terminals to aid passengers with check-in and luggage services.

Business complexes are also making efforts to expand market competitiveness through information technology. Hongqiao Paradise Walk, a business hub providing people with leisure and entertainment outlets, has developed its own mobile VIP system integrating the functions of online shopping, shop navigation and consumption analysis.
