As the youngest central business district in Shanghai, Hongqiao CBD has adopted the advanced development idea of greening to create a low carbon community for local residents.

More green areas

Office buildings in the core area of Hongqiao CBD are well received by their settled enterprises for a super large green area, unique building designs and the principle of greening in general.

The Hongqiao CBD is also dedicated to establishing green corridors and four major green lands.

Based on Shanghai's mother river – the Wusong and surrounding natural waterways, green ecological corridors are being built to create a comfortable natural environment and a garden district.

Huaxiang tops the four green areas with a total of 205,000 square meters, of which 78 percent is public land and the rest is water.

The green parts of Hongqiao CBD have been the first choice of white collar workers and local residents for doing exercise or going for a walk since they were created in 2015.
