The Jiangqiao Hospital, a branch of Shanghai General Hospital, will accommodate 500 beds, 300 for treatment and the rest for recovery and nursing.

Since the hospital is a general one, various outpatient departments will be set up for internal medicine, surgery, obstetrics and gynecology, and traditional Chinese medicine (TCM). A 24-hour emergency center and a physical examination center will also be established.

Residents' health demands in the North Hongqiao will be fully satisfied and the overall medical service in the area will definitely be improved after the hospital is put into use.
