Huzhou in East China's Zhejiang province recently introduced 10 recommended travel routes for visitors to the city for the upcoming National Day and Middle Autumn Festival holidays. The following are the top three routes.

1. Clear water and lush mountains

This route offers a three-day trip and passes through the counties of Anji, Deqing, and Changxing. On the first day, visitors are encouraged to visit Longwang Mountain and Yucun village in Anji. Yucun village is the birthplace of the concept that "lucid waters and lush mountains are invaluable assets".

The second stop is Deqing, where Mogan Mountain takes priority. The mountain was listed by the New York Times as one of the 45 best places in the world to visit. It is renowned for its pristine natural views, homestays, and boutique hotels.

In Changxing, the third stop, the top two destinations are Dadujie Scenic Spot, which is known for its gingko forests that stretch for 10 miles, and Xianshan Lake Scenic Spot.

2. Ancient water towns

There are a number of ancient water towns scattered around Huzhou. The most famous one is Nanxun Ancient Town, which has a history of more than 700 years. It is also the only 5A national scenic area in Huzhou. 5A is the nation's highest rating for scenic spots.

Other recommended ancient towns include Shuanglin and Xinshi in Deqing county.

3. A trip for children

Anji is the first stop, as it is home to a Hello Kitty-themed amusement park and Tianyuan Jialebi Paradise, where visitors can experience the ongoing autumn harvest.

Taihu Lake Longemont Paradise in Changxing county is recommended as the second stop. Visitors can interact with small animals and watch firework and water dance shows.

The final stop is Wuxing district, where the Giraffe Manor and Yuanxiang town, which is home to Asia's largest butterfly museum, are highly recommended.
