Two greenways in Huzhou were recently designated as candidates to win the honorary title of the "most beautiful greenways in Zhejiang".
Fifteen greenways from across the province made the shortlist, and 10 will be selected to be the final winners based on online votes.
Yucun Greenway made the list. Situated in Yucun village, Anji county, it connects numerous scenic spots in the village, including transformed old mining sites and a gingko forest. It typifies the local authorities' efforts to promote green development under the guidance of the concept that "lucid waters and lush mountains are invaluable assets".
Another candidate from Huzhou is the greenway stretching from Xinchuan village to Yangfeng village in Changxing county. The path connects many historical sites related to the Communist Party of China's New Fourth Army.
