The first audio library in Huzhou, East China's Zhejiang province opened to the public on Feb 23, according to local media reports.

Readers are able to access audiobooks provided by online audio sharing platforms including Ximalaya FM and Popular Bookmall by scanning a QR code in the library.

The library is housed in an ancient building located on the Aishan sub-district, Huzhou's Wuxing district.

The reading facility's books will be updated frequently and reading data can be collected automatically.

A wide variety of audio content is available at the library, ranging from classic works to operas to crosstalks and radio dramas.

In addition, special zones have been set up for children as well as people with visual impairments.

The library's establishment comes as part of local authorities' efforts to improve local public services and enhance the happiness of residents, said an official from the Aishan sub-district.
