3 Huzhou places named provincial forest convalescent homes

Three places from Huzhou were recently listed among Zhejiang provincial forest convalescent homes. 

A total of 14 places from across the province made the list. The three from Huzhou were the Changxing forest farm, Skyland scenic spot, and Jiangnan Tianchi scenic spot.

Skyland is located in Shanchuan township, which has won national recognition for its beautiful environment.

The plantation of bamboos in the scenic spot stands at 32,321 mu(2,154.7 hectares), with the forest coverage rate exceeding 88 percent.

Jiangnan Tianchi is a national 4A scenic attraction, the second highest in the nation's grading system for scenic spots. It serves as a water reservoir for Asia's largest pumped storage power station, Tianhuangping Pumped Storage Power Station.

Those listed as provincial forest convalescent homes should have a forest coverage rate of no less than 70 percent and have a rate of over 90 percent in terms of days with good air quality in a year.

In addition, the concentration of negative oxygen ions in its core area should reach 2,000 per cubic centimeter.

Provincial forest convalescent homes are also required to meet certain requirements in acoustic environment, surface water quality, and reception facilities.
