Zhili town, a national manufacturing hub for children's wear in Huzhou, East China's Zhejiang province, reached a strategic partnership agreement with short video platform Kuaishou on May 19.

The latter will help Zhili boost sales of children's wear via streaming e-commerce. A special livestreaming session will be held on Kuaishou to sell children's clothes from the town from May 20 to June 1, according to the agreement.

In addition, the company's technology arm has also inked a strategic cooperation agreement with Huzhou News Media Center.

Coordinated efforts will be made to facilitate the digital upgrading of the children's wear sector in Zhili, as well as deepen bilateral cooperation to promote Huzhou's culture and city brand.

A Kuaishou-funded facility designed to train talents in the short video and livestreaming sectors was also inaugurated in Huzhou.

Besides, a news app called Nantaihuhao, developed by the Huzhou municipal government, officially launched the children's clothing channel, which will be dedicated to providing one-stop information services for related businesses to expand markets and develop new products.

Zhili is home to the largest children's wear industrial cluster in China. A complete industrial chain integrating design, processing, marketing, fabric supply, logistics, and warehousing has formed in the town.

The town currently houses more than 20,000 market entities in the children's wear sector, accounting for 60 percent of the domestic market share, official statistics show.

In 2020, the annual output of all kinds of children's clothing in the town exceeded 1.45 billion pieces (sets), generating about 65 billion yuan ($10 billion) in sales revenue.
