The sales of children's clothing from Zhili town in Huzhou's Wuxing district exceeded 41 billion yuan ($6.3 billion) in the first eight months of this year, up 15.1 percent year-on-year.

As a national manufacturing hub for children's wear, Zhili is home to 14,000 market entities involved in the children clothing sector. In Zhili, it only takes about three hours to turn a design sketch to a physical product.

The town's children clothing are able to be exported to 126 countries and regions worldwide due to the implementation of policies including the cross-border e-commerce B2B supervision model and the market procurement trade model.

To date, more than 12,000 declarations for exports under the market procurement trade model have been made in Zhili, with commodities exported worth $1.15 billion.

An official from the Zhili town government predicted that the sales volume of children's wear in Zhili will reach 120 billion yuan by 2023.

This growth is expected partly based on sustained efforts by the government to facilitate digital upgrading and the channeling of capital, talent and innovation resources to the sector.

An industrial internet platform designed for children's wear sector in the town has been operational for nearly two years, with services reaching 2,066 companies.
