Five cultural and tourism events will be staged in Huzhou, East China's Zhejiang province this month.

A highlight among them will be the Mogan Mountain International Homestay Life Festival, which is slated to be held in Deqing county from Oct 21 to Nov 30.

A dozen activities, including forums, promotional conferences, parties, and art salons, will be staged during the festival.

It will coincide with the second edition of the Xisai Mountain Music Carnival, which will be held in Miaoxi town, Huzhou's Wuxing district and feature several domestically renowned bands.

In addition, the 2021 Huzhou Writing Brush Culture & Tourism Festival is expected to be held in Shanlian town, Huzhou's Nanxun district from Oct 20 to 24.

The Huzhou writing brush is a traditional Chinese brush pen that is believed to have a history of over 2,000 years. In 2016, the skills to make them were designated a national intangible cultural heritage item.

The festival will include music and food activities, a sacrificial ceremony, as well as a calligraphy exhibition.

From Oct 23 to 31, the ninth Huzhou Sheep Culture Festival will also be staged in Quanbu village, Huzhou's Nanxun district.

Visitors will be able to participate in sheep themed activities and be shown various types of sheep cooking methods. The meat of Huzhou sheep is renowned for its delicate and juicy taste.

Romance lovers should not miss the art festival themed on fireflies, which will be held in Taihu Lougang Scenic Spot in Wuxing district from Oct 22 to Nov 21.
