Zhejiang Dingli Machinery Co Ltd has been busy producing aerial work platforms which are slated for export to Europe and the United States.

Based in Huzhou's Deqing county, the company specializes in the design, production and sales of various high-end aerial work platforms.

In December last year, a plant funded by Dingli was listed among the first batch of Zhejiang "future plants". This is the first plant from Huzhou that made the list.

Apart from Dingli, another three plants by Huzhou companies Xiandeng Hi-Tech, Osmun and Noblelift have been shortlisted to be "future plants" in the province.

"Future plants" refer to plants that excel in the integration of new-generation information technologies in the advanced manufacturing sector.

By applying technologies such as Internet of Things, big data, artificial intelligence and industrial internet, Dingli has seen its production efficiency increase by 23 percent. Its operating cost has also decreased by 24 percent while product development time has been shortened by 33 percent.

The company currently has a business presence in 80 countries and regions.

Presently, the number of industrial robots in Huzhou has surpassed 12,000. These robots are mainly used in fields including high-end equipment and green home.

Dingli is considered a frontrunner in smart transformation in the city and has invested heavily in the research and development of control systems and automation equipment.

More than 90 percent of the company's equipment is domestically produced, according to a Dingli representative.
