The long-await Moganshan Fantasy Music Festival opened in the Shangzhushan Magic Valley, Huzhou's Deqing county on Aug 26.

The three-day event attracted about 4,500 participants on the first day despite the torrential rain.

A large number of renowned signers including Cui Jian and bands like Second-hand Roses and The Landlord's Cat were featured at this year's edition.

The music festival comes as part of local authorities' efforts to facilitate the integrated development of the cultural and tourism sectors, said the organizers.

The Shangzhushan Magic Valley is a tourism resort that is adjacent to two famous scenic spots – Mount Mogan and Xiazhu Lake Wetland.
