Huzhou rural tourism route wins national honor

A tourism route in Huzhou's Deqing county recently made the 2022 list of beautiful rural leisure tourism routes in China.

Fifty-two tourism routes made the list released by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs.

The listed route from Deqing was designed to escape the summer heat and is comprised of five stops: Yucun Square, Mantian Ecological Agricultural Sightseeing Park, Moganshan International Resort, Moganshan Xigu Rafting Project and Moganshan Firefly Base.

Visitors at Yucun village, the first stop of the route, have the opportunity to learn about how the rural cultural and creative park was transformed from an abandoned silkworm seed farm in the village.

The Mantian Ecological Agricultural Sightseeing Park, a tourism facility offering services related to accommodation, catering, leisure agriculture and outdoor activities, is also located in the area.

The route's third stop, Moganshan International Resort spans 58.77 square kilometers and has a forest coverage rate of 88 percent. It has been listed among the four most renowned summer resorts in China.

Moganshan Xigu Rafting Project is the fourth stop and is a must-visit place for those yearning for a thrilling experience. The whole rafting route is about 2.48 kilometers long, featuring a drop of about 10 meters.

The route ends at Moganshan Firefly Base. As it name suggests, visitor can admire captivating views of flickering fireflies.
