Many Chinese products found on and off the field at the ongoing FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 were manufactured by companies from Huzhou, East China's Zhejiang province, local media reported.

For example, the flame retardant material used in building the Lusail Stadium, the main venue of the World Cup, was produced by Zhejiang Jinke Composite Technology Co Ltd.

The halogen-free, flame retardant material developed by the Huzhou-based company can automatically decompose into water and carbon dioxide when the temperature reaches between 280 to 300 degrees Celsius.

Meanwhile, the 820 sofas located within the rest rooms at the World Cup venues were manufactured by Huzhou Xirui Furniture Manufacturing Co Ltd.

It only took 13 days for the company to produce the sofas after receiving the order, according to Zhao Zhengxiong, the general manager of the company.
